Velvet Bohème is back for another round, opening September 14 with a new mix of boho fashion, shopping and live music. The event has that layered, relaxed style I always associate with bohemian dressing, embroidery, texture, jewelry and pieces that feel collected over time rather than perfectly matched. It is a good place to wander through the releases at your own pace, then come back in the evening when the live music takes over.

For my first look, I pulled together several pieces from the event and kept the styling loose. The ivory Hiral Jacket from Zaara sets the tone with its floral embroidery, while the Big Sur Joggers and Cabin Tank from Mellow Elie keep the outfit easy and modern. The deep red joggers bring in the first hint of autumn, and the blue tank picks up the cooler shades in the jacket.

The Gaby hair from MINA comes with that oversized hat, which gives the whole look its bohemian edge without making it feel too styled. KUNGLERS’ Freyja necklace adds another layer of color and detail, and the Mango Milk Love More tattoo sits quietly underneath the jewelry. It only really shows in the closer shots, which makes it feel a little more personal.

The Daisy sneakers from Ohemo are not from Velvet Bohème, but they work perfectly with the relaxed shape of the joggers and keep the look grounded. For the face I kept things soft with Fenom Christy and Avi-Glam Spectra Eyes, letting the clothes, hat and jewelry carry most of the attention.

Shot at Pusuuaari, where the dry grasses, weathered wood and soft late-summer atmosphere suited the look beautifully. The colors already lean toward autumn, but the whole thing still feels light enough for September.
