My weekend weakness is skins.
Weekend sales are dangerous for me, especially when they involve skins in tones I do not usually wear. Lala from Deetalez in Nordic Cold was one of those instant yes moments. She pairs beautifully with Velour’s body skins in Icy, and since I splurged on the Ipanema fatpack when Velour introduced that line, I usually have enough tones and neck fixes to make most face skins work. For this one, though, I did not even need a fix.

I am wearing Lala on leLUTKA’s Avalon, with Bliss eyeshadow and For You watergloss by Goreglam. I added Bari, a subtle blush by Velour, on my cheeks and nose, and used the freckles only from Jack Spoon’s Apple Freckles and Blush for a little extra skin definition. My lashes are from Mila’s Kiss Wisps set, and my eyes are Valoire by Avi-Glam.
Hollywood has been obsessed with so-called nepo babies, and honestly, I hate that term. Nepotism means favoring relatives, friends, and historically also clients, for opportunities without regard for merit. But I do not see much difference between the child of an actor having access to their parent’s network, and the child of a lawyer entering the same field after earning a law degree and passing the bar, while also benefiting from their parent’s connections.
In both cases, privilege opens doors. Skill decides what happens after that. Yet we rarely call the young lawyer a nepo baby. That label seems reserved for children of celebrities. Privileged? Absolutely. But if they want to truly succeed, they still need to prove themselves under the weight of comparison. In Italy, they traditionally call them figli d’arte, children of the art. I like that much better.

And that brings me to Second Life.
Several children who were newborns, or very young when I first got to know their parents in SL are now grown up and starting creative journeys of their own. One of them is Litterbug, the RL daughter of Truth. Of course, she has had the chance to learn from her talented and business-savvy dad, but she is also quickly establishing herself as a capable hair creator in her own right.
I love seeing that. Working under the Truth Collective, her style already feels distinct, just like Wasabi’s and Faga’s do. Her latest hair, Twirl, is a perfect example: a low ponytail that feels relaxed, polished, casual, and elegant all at once. I was there to witness Truth’s first hairs and watched him grow into one of SL’s most successful creators. And Litterbug, I will be watching you too. Way to go, girl. I am rooting for you!

As for the outfit, I am wearing The Kiwi Co.’s latest Crush Collection, a delightful and very sexy little number available in a wide range of textures. I paired it with platform mules that would absolutely murder me in real life, but thankfully my pixel ankles remain undefeated.
With Sigma’s Elysia choker and Ester rings, I am ready for a sunny terrace, good gossip, and a limoncello spritz.
XO, Graz
