TGIF, and honestly, I have no grand weekend plans other than visiting the Second Life Relay for Life weekend, which has been a tradition for me ever since I started in SL.

This year’s Relay for Life of Second Life weekend runs June 13 and 14, 2026, with the theme Wild for a Cure. The event starts Saturday at 10am SLT, with avatars walking a track across more than 35 regions to support the American Cancer Society. It is one of those SL traditions that still manages to feel meaningful, chaotic, heartfelt, laggy, beautiful, and completely worth showing up for. Basically, Second Life at its best.

For today, I am feeling cute in Kheops’ Orea dress, which is perfect for summer. Granted, she is a bit more exposed than I would usually wear in everyday SL, but for the beach, or a rooftop round of spritzes with the girls, I am absolutely game.

One practical note, because friendship means honesty: wear BOM panties. The fabric is crocheted, and unless you want to give the grid a full architectural tour of your lady bits, a little coverage is your friend.

Beautywise, I am wearing The Skinnery’s latest skin, Dacey, available at Collabor88. I added a few BOM extras for that mid summer glow: The Skinnery’s under eye blush, Izzie’s Summer blush, and Dotty’s Secret’s Sunkissed freckles. My eyes are Avi Glam’s Versailles eyes, and my hair is Mochi, the release by Litterbug for Truth Collective at this year’s Hair Fair.

Hair Fair 2026 is still running through June 14, and this year marks its 20th anniversary, with six regions of hair, hair accessories, props, poses, and donations supporting Wigs for Kids. So yes, there is still time to shop with purpose and pretend your inventory is under control.
