Pixelapproved!

The first half of August has been a whirlwind on Pixelapproved, packed with style notes, event finds, and a healthy dose of beauty reviews. Here’s a look back at what’s been happening since the last time.

Style Highlights

• RL to SL fashion moment : I recreated one of my favorite real-life office outfits in Second Life: tailored trousers, crisp blouse, and scarf. Proof that elegant minimalism translates beautifully across worlds.
• Summer leather : The Amias Sveta skirt brought buttery-soft texture into warm-weather styling. Paired with Ison’s cropped button-up, it was the perfect mix of chic and airy.
• Versace on the Riviera : A bold Jack Spoon dress from Kustom9 stole the show—less quiet luxury, more unapologetic glam for late-summer nights.

Event Buzz

• FLF Birthday Bash : Over 100 creators came together for a massive celebration, with 50L treasures and even fatpack steals. I spotlighted Moon Amore’s intricate lace gown, a true showstopper.
• Collabor88’s 14th Birthday : With a Romantic Renaissance theme, the round was filled with dreamy gowns, accessories, and the kind of styling that makes August sparkle.

Beauty & Lifestyle

• Beachside daydreams : A playful musing on what life would be like if swimwear became office wear. Spoiler: not HR-approved, but fabulous in theory.
• Brows? What brows? : I took the plunge into the bleached eyebrow trend with Moccino’s Baby skin. Mixed feelings, but worth the experiment.
• Kitchen detour : I shared my recipe for Torta Caprese al Limone, because sometimes fashion needs a side of cake.

About That Giveaway…

I had originally planned to run a Pixelapproved giveaway this month. However, after looking at my schedule and the sheer amount of prep it takes to do it right: coordinating, organizing prizes, and presenting it in a way that feels polished, I’ve decided to postpone it until fall.

I’d rather give you something thoughtful and well-executed than rush it out in the middle of a busy August. Fall, with its cozy energy and fresh season vibes, will be the perfect backdrop for a proper Pixelapproved giveaway.
