It is no secret that I am a huge skin whore in SL, so it feels only natural to me to feature one of my all time favorite skin stores in Mainstore Monday. Glam Affair started back in 2010, and has ever since been growing and evolving into today’s power house. When you enter the sim, you will see the sleek minimalist buildings of Glam Affair, owned by Aida Ewing, and Tableau Vivant, owned by M4rilyn Magic, Aida’s long time partner in crime. Whereas Glam Affair caters to the females of SL with their skins, Tableau Vivant sells hair, hair bases and a collection of male skins.
The interior of Glam Affair is equally minimalist and polished as its exterior. All white with here and there some wooden accents. It’s spacious and it is home to the enormous collection of skins for the most popular heads in SL (LeLutka Evo X and Evo), body skins from their new Ethereal Essence line in collaboration with Not Found, a few make ups, and a little corner for some of Izzie’s indispensable add-ons/correctors/personalization layers which every skin fanatic in SL has come to love. You will also find vendors from Velour for their body skin line as Glam Affair has also skins to match those.
In the entree, there are also vendors with new skins to celebrate the recent launch of Ethereal Essence, in the new skin tones from that line. As well as vendors from leLAPEAU and Stealthic, who also created specials for the launch.
I love it when creators of SL come together and co-create for their customers, it makes for a really sweet shopping experience!
Skins retail at L$ 999 per skintone, and for that amount you get 3 brow options, as well as a myriad of options for make up, freckles and other goodies. If you shop on a budget, Glam Affair regularly participated in 50 Linden Fridays as well as various weekend sales with skins fro the so called Basic Line, with less options for as little as 50 L$ during FLF.
