My impromptu Easter escape completely derailed my plan to blog for Velvet Bohème. I had a clear schedule. Shoot the looks. Write the posts. Have everything ready before the April 4 opening. Instead, I found myself on a train with no WiFi, watching that plan disappear in real time. I considered using mobile, but let’s be honest. That is not where good photos happen, and you know it.
So today felt different. Slower. I spent part of the day making pizza dough, because Saturday night is pizza night. This dough takes its time. You wait, you check, you wait again. It forced me to slow down in a way I did not plan, but probably needed.
And now I am back. Logged in. Camera ready. Finally able to spend time in world and share what is coming.

I started with Mellow Elie. The Ojai Overalls paired with the Elie bandeau immediately stood out. There is something very easy about this look. It feels relaxed, but still styled. Emma is back after time off with her newborn, and she returns with a strong release. These overalls lean into that carefree feeling. Barefoot in the grass, sun on your skin, no rush. They are comfortable, but they still hold shape. That balance matters.

Then I moved on to Avani and the Peu Orthodoxe set. This one pulled me in quietly. It is an eclectic mix, but it feels intentional. Antique marbles, mid century ceramics, soft textures. Nothing feels random. You get a linked version that rezzes the full setup in one click, which is practical when you want a complete scene fast. But the strength is in the individual pieces. You can break it apart and rebuild it in your own way, which makes it more versatile than it first appears.

And I have to mention the small bowl with the tiny feet. It stopped me for a second. It is slightly odd, which is exactly why it works. It adds character without trying too hard. Those are the details that make a setup feel personal instead of staged.
This is just the beginning. Now that I am back in world, there is more coming. Unless, of course, the Easter Bunny decides to kidnap me. You never know.

Happy Easter. Don’t hold back on the chocolate. We could all use a little more sweetness right now.
XO, Graz
