Sometimes I wish I had fur babies in RL again. We used to have cats, but they passed away of old age years ago, and I simply cannot bring myself to adopt new ones when I’m constantly traveling, working, or frankly too drained to even care for myself properly. A dog would be wonderful, but since I can’t bring one to the office, the thought of daycare or hiring someone else to raise them just feels wrong. And cats? People say they’re aloof and only care if their food bowl is filled to 82,654% capacity, but my two Abyssinians used to greet me at the door and shadow me all evening, purring and demanding attention. So yes, feline overlords do miss us when we are gone, which makes me feel guilty about leaving them alone too.

Luckily, SL pets are a whole different ballgame. They’re loyal, adorable, and never complain when you forget to log in for a few days. My beagle Douglas is the perfect example: always stoked for a walk, never shedding on the couch, and cute enough to make any sim adventure instantly better. This time I took him to Lam Erin’s Cherishville, which is drenched in glorious autumn vibes. He had the time of his life splashing through mud puddles, cornfields, and slippery forest paths. Me? I tried to keep up without falling flat on my pixel face.

Of course, rain in SL is also the perfect excuse to pull out fall fashion. I wore COCO Designs’ Wide Cropped Coloured Jeans in sage, paired with Fashionably Dead’s Mock Top and Mellow Elie’s Wyoming Jacket. Since wrangling Douglas means no umbrella, I opted for LaGyo’s Jeans Bucket Hat, and finished the look with Nutmeg’s Riding Boots for toasty, dry feet. My skin today is Amara Beauty’s Jolie (très jolie indeed), and my long, loose waves are Honey by Doux.

Today’s skin is Amara Beauty’s Jolie, and she’s Très Jolie indeed!!My waist long, face framing locks are Honey, by Doux.

After dragging me through Cherishville’s soggy wonderland, Douglas suddenly decided he was done. He sat his beagle butt down and refused to move another pixel. So I TP’d us home, lit the fireplace, and he’s now snoring happily in his bed while I sip tea and enjoy the cozy autumn glow. Sometimes, being a virtual dog mom is the best of both worlds.

XO, Graz

If you got a dog, I’d babysit for free (minus costs). Just sayin’. 🤪🫶🐶🦮🥰😘

Welcome to Pixel Approved. I’m Grazia.

This blog is where I share what I wear, what I see, and what’s on my mind.

Some days, it’s about digital fashion and styling in Second Life. Other days, it’s a personal journal where I unpack random thoughts, trends, or things that just won’t leave my head. I review skins I love, explore beautiful places you might’ve missed, and always keep a sharp eye on details that matter.

If you’re here for virtual fashion, clean edits, smart opinions, or a quiet escape—you’ll feel at home.
