If you’ve known me for a while, you know I’m usually all about minimalism, effortless elegance, and that quiet, understated luxury the TikTok generation now insists on calling “old money style.” (Don’t even get me started on that… but that’s another rant for another day.)
Today? Today is about indulging.
Every time I watch a new episode of The Gilded Age, I fall headfirst into a craving for pure, unapologetic opulence. The interiors. The gowns. The art. Honestly, the aesthetic alone could fund a thousand moodboards—and I’d still want more.
As a longtime admirer of John Singer Sargent’s watercolors, I practically squealed when he showed up in the latest season! Sure, the portrait of Gladys Russell he paints in the series is fictional, but I genuinely believe the showrunners captured the spirit of his work. Art critics may nitpick the technique and realism of that piece—but for a mere enthusiast like me? Watching it being unveiled, even with all the dramatic tension surrounding it, was a total delight.
But I digress (again). This isn’t an art blog, Grazia—it’s fashion, darling. So let’s get to it.

Modern Gilded, With a Twist
Today’s look is my fin-de-siècle fantasy, reimagined for a modern world—and no, I didn’t exactly stick to historical accuracy. But I did stay faithful to the ambiance.
I’m wearing David Heather’s glorious new Carlotta blouse, currently available at Access. It’s all drama and elegance—just how I like it. I’ve paired it with Dernier’s sleek Rose Maxi Skirt and their fabulous Ava gloves, because why not lean into the decadence?
All That Glitters…
An outfit like this demands jewelry. So, I went for the Ginza Tresor ring and Piece of Me’s BB Vintage necklace. Normally I’d tread lightly with statement pieces like these, but come on—this outfit practically begs for it, and I’m happy to oblige.

The Beauty Details
With a look this rich, I kept my makeup clean but striking:
- Sicily Siren eyeliner by Jack Spoon
- That’s Hot lipstick by Tres Beau
- Ruby lashes by Nuve
- Pose eyes by Avi-Glam
- And for the finishing touch, Zyra hair by Wasabi, debuting soon at Kustom9. It’s soft, polished, and gives just the right amount of “wealthy heiress ignoring your opinion.”
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to annoy the temperance league and have the butler pour me a proper glass of wine. Moderation is cute and all—but not after a long day of observing society’s comings and goings from behind a lace curtain.
Be kind. Dream big.
Not of the past—dream of the future, and make it fabulous.
