Shoulders!!! Those of us growing up with Dynasty (the original series) will fondly remember the epic clothing by Nolan Miller, worn by the female protagonists Krystle and Alexis. Sequined gowns, tailored suits, opulence -very much NOT quiet luxury- and they all had 1 feature in common: huge shoulders. Either created by poofy sleeves or the insertion of a hefty shoulder pad. In the 2024 fall collections, the shoulder has been making a comeback of sorts, but way less prominent than in its heydays. So you can imagine me squeeing with glee when David Heather announced a heavily padded blouse that has now been released at Access. Despite the hefty price tag, I had to fatpack, because how can I choose between just one or 2 colors when this entire palette is epic?

I decided to go for the burgundy color today. It’s one of the hot colors of this winter season, and it matches Erratic‘s Wexler skirt perfectly. My Joy Pointy pumps in a beautiful camel-colored leather are from Gos Boutique, and I have casually tossed a Louane Fox fur from Dernier over my shoulder. Very Alexis!

I stuck with the Alexis vibe, albeit more modern and tousled, with Tram‘s P0108 hair and I decided upon Warpaint‘s Nereid eyeshadow, paired with a winged flick from Holloway‘s Petra set, where I also got my lipstick from.

Makes me feel like I am ready to get into a catfight with Krystle! RAWR!
