Pixelapproved!

Sometimes it’s nice to go out of your comfort zone for a while. I’m always careful to play with skin tones which are not “me”, which is ridiculous, because there are so many beautiful skins out there that look just fabulous in the deeper tones. I love brands who have caught up with the times and offer more than the 4 or 5 shades that used to be offered years ago. I don’t think that would be accepted anymore anyway, and creators like Velour, with a wide range of (body) skins have also facilitated that transition for many other creators.

Today’s skin is Ava from Moccino in Ibiza on my usual LeLutka Avalon head. She’s pretty! I started out with another skin I bought during the weekend for today’s look, but silly me didn’t demo it, and gosh, did she have a dirty nose! Gross pores and powder residue. Further zooming in, I noticed the texture had too much sharpness, so the highlights on the lips were pixelated. Yeah, that was a no-no!

And luckily, Ava didn’t disappoint! Au contraire! I am feeling pretty, straight out of bed! Something I wish would happen more often in RL! I could not resist getting COCO Designs new Maxi Knit Dress and Maxi Long Cardigan at Uber, and I did my bed hair in a quick ponytail from Tram, N0908. Those dreamy eyes are from TVILLE, from the Afrodite collection.

Breezing through the day, I am getting ready for an evening out and guess what? I am going for comfortably chic! This white dress is staying today! But with a satin fuchsia pink blazer from Shoplifter and matching chunky ankle boots by Gos Boutique, this girl is ready to slay! Especially when I put on the Met Gala collier and studs from Heartsdale Jewelry.

Zooming in on my face, you can see I went for a dramatic makeup tonight: glam and glitter!! With Jack Spoon‘s Discotech eyeshadow, and the Kasha glitter waterline, my eyes pop! My cheek is on fleek with Nuve‘s Highlighter blush and I kept my lips a bit muted with a berry coloured lipstick from Velour‘s Fairy Lipstick palette.

Coming back to the demo thing, I should know better. 18 year in this world should have taught me that. Yet… nobody is perfect right? Though this make up gets close!!!
