By now you probably have heard of the Flagship initiative of some of SL’s most loved creators. Entrepreneurs who want to put back the emphasis of their commercial operations on main store releases; curating and nurturing their loyal customers and creating a more wholesome work and creative environment for themselves, instead of racing to the bottom participating in ever more events and sales.
The people who have united in the Flagship.. yeah, what is it… movement? collaboration? joint marketing effort? commit to releasing a main store exclusive during an agreed Flagship week, which, for now, will be every other month to test the waters and make a transition to more main store and less event-driven business easier.

One of the people who started this movement (let’s just call it that for now) is Emma Gilmour from Mellow Elie. When she came back after an almost 10-year hiatus from SL, she noticed how much commerce had changed since then and decided that this was not the way she was going to run her new business in SL. And guess what? Many creators have that same feeling!

So from 18-25 January, we’re celebrating the first Flagship week! How can you find out whic shops are part of this movement? That is easy, check SeraphimSL! There is a live post for Flagship which will be updated as more of the committed designers release their new items during this week, so make sure to check back frequently for quality items at a fair price!

Later today, Mellow Elie will release this beautiful Ara lounge set—a combination of a soft knitted tank and bottom and a luxurious silk robe for lazy Sundays! It comes as usual in a beautiful set of colors, and I am wearing the fat pack exclusive options here. I don’t think I am going to change out of this today, although the dogs may have another opinion. They want to go out and play on some snow-covered sim! For now though, I am enjoying my tea by OMY and stalling getting changed as long as I can!
